This introduction to Garden & Flower Photography is ideal for anyone with a keen interest in gardens and flowers looking to improve their garden and flower photography from an artistic point of view. Flowers and gardens make wonderful subjects and are conveniently accessible in our own homes and in more formal settings. This course will help you to bring style and creativity into your garden and flower photography.
The course is run in our own purpose built training studio by Heather Edwards, one of the leading Garden and Flower Photographers in the UK, and includes an afternoon photoshoot in Lacock Abbey’s walled garden just a short distance from the studio. Designed for a maximum of 6 students, there is plenty of time for the tutor to give one to one support to each participant in the afternoon practical session and review of images.
To get the most out of the Garden & Flower Photography Course, it is recommended that students are able to control depth of field, capture motion and have an understanding of the ISO setting. These skills are taught on our Beginners Digital Photography Course.
Topics covered on the course:
- Equipment used
- Key elements;
- Basic camera settings (aperture, shutter speed and ISO)
- Practical session in the walled garden at Lacock Abbey
- Downloading & reviewing of images
