About the Course

This is a natural light portrait course where you’ll consolidate the principles of portrait photography with everything tailored to producing beautiful monochrome photos. With colour out of the equation you’ll be free to more closely consider other elements like texture, composition, patterns and contrast. You’ll look at the elements that make a great black & white image and work through a range of setups like high key and low key. The shoots will be styled for you, meaning that you can focus on getting great shots with everything else taken care of. To finish up you’ll do a little post-processing in Lightroom to help give your images a final polish! If you’re a creative photographer looking to expand your vision, you’ll love this more specialised and focused course.

To get the most out of the course students should already understand the basics of exposure, shutter speed, aperture and ISO, these skills are taught on our Essential Workshops,

The day starts at 10:00am and ends at 4:00pm at our gallery in Lacock.
