Fine Art Portraits (Studio Lighting)

♥♥♥♥ Robert –  : Thoroughly enjoyed the day and came away feeling that I had gained some useful and worthwhile photographic knowledge. The tutor, David, was very understanding and did his very best to meet the course attendees requirements. A special mention and thanks to our model, Sophie for her patience and cheerful disposition in trying to meet our individual posing needs. Well done!.

♥♥♥♥♥ Catriona – Thank you so much for a superb day. I learned an enormous amount and identified areas I need to work on to improve my standard.  David was very generous with both his knowledge and time and I enjoyed learning from him.  It was great to get so much hands on practice.

♥♥♥♥♥ Fiona – This was a great day.  The group size was perfect, with just 4 students, we all had plenty of shooting time with the models and also lots of excellent support one to one from David when we were reviewing and editing our images.

This Fine Art Portraits (Studio Lighting) Course is a mixture of classroom-based illustrated presentations and hands on practice.  The afternoon session comprises of a studio shoot, working with a model under studio flash lighting, after which there will be opportunity to review and process images in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop CC under the guidance of the tutor.

To get the most out of the Fine Art Portraits (Studio Lighting) , it is recommended that students are able to control depth of field, capture motion and have an understanding of the ISO setting. These skills are taught on our Beginners Digital Photography Course.  Furthermore, it would be of benefit to have at least basic computer skills and some basic knowledge of Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop.
