Smartphone Photography Course

♥♥♥♥♥ Julie – Loved the course, Lucy was amazing and it was so nice to be part of a small group being a guinea pig too! I feel like I learnt so much but at a gentle pace and certainly no eyecrolling going on!

♥♥♥♥♥ Sue – Thank you for a very enjoyable and informative day. Really appreciated the small group feel very lucky it was that way. Feel I now need to just have a play at home to get familiar with VSCO app and then putting on Instagram

♥♥♥♥♥ Fiona –  Well put together course, particularly liked that we could post to Instagram live.  I feel like I can use my camera phone really quite well now.  I’m really pleased I can edit in the phone too!

The course will provide an overview of smartphone photography with an understanding of composition, lighting techniques, and in-phone editing of photographs to make them the best they can be. This course is ideal for those who want to improve their social media accounts such as Instagram, blogging, website photographs, or visual selling platforms such as ebay, etsy and notonthehighstreet.

The Tutor – Lucy Jane Saunders

Lucy Jane Saunders is a British freelance photographer and designer based in Bath, England. Lucy’s photographic experience started within education graduating with a First Class Honours degree in Photography. Working from commissions for magazine companies Lucy’s work displays a broad range of editorial and commercial input with the key focus on photography based around lifestyle and travel. Illustrated within magazines, blogs and online content. Other personal work can be seen in Lucy’s documentary book publication ‘Boots, Tracks & Biscuits’ which contains an afterword by photographer Jon Tonks.

Lucy Comments: “In a world of rapid, ever developing digital technology, I am aware that photography is not just for those who class themselves as professionals, but for anyone who owns a smartphone. I want people to embrace using a smartphone for photography and not be scared to set up a product professionally then take the image with a phone. Composition, light
and how you perceive a product or lifestyle is just as important.” See Lucy’s work here:
